Title: Mainframe Programmer

Must-have skills: Systems analysis experience (10+ years); COBOL, CICS, JCL, and SQL for DB2 (10+ years); COBOL language, TSO/ISPF/IOF, CICS, JCL, SQL for DB2, and IMS-DL1/DL2; system design documentation; preparing program specifications, complete successful programming functions, and testing.
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Remote or onsite: Onsite from day 1
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain mainframe and midrange custom computer applications;
• Provide highly technical custom application programming services;
• Sign and develop IT systems to include functional specifications;
• Produce deliverables related to the project(s) assigned and assist in post implementation support and system enhancements;
• Develop systems and software.
Requirements:
• Systems analysis experience (10+ years);
• Applications development programming experience, specifically in COBOL, CICS, JCL, and SQL for DB2 (10+ years);
• Proficiency with programming and database technologies including COBOL language, TSO/ISPF/IOF, CICS, JCL, SQL for DB2, and IMS-DL1/DL2;
• Experience with system design documentation;
• Experience preparing program specifications, complete successful programming functions, and testing.
• Experience with the following inmate/offender systems: management systems, time computation and release time calculation systems, healthcare systems, trust fund and automation of prison canteen systems, and court order payment systems (preferred);
• Experience with WRAP and mainframe programming using WEB services (preferred);
• Knowledge of CJIS/NCIC/FCIC (preferred);
• Knowledge of FLAIR accounting system (preferred);
• Experience with PROGRESS language, under VMS(preferred);
• Knowledge of law enforcement sentence structure algorithms(preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
