Job Description
Role: SAP S/4 PPQM Consultant
Location: Houston, TX only locals in Houston
Duration: Long Term
Type: Hybrid - 3 days onsite
Rate: 80$ hr C2C
Interview Process: 1 hour TEAMS call/Video Interview
Local candidates preferred but non-locals are also fine, client will not pay travel/stay expenses
Client is looking for a highly experienced SAP consultant with expertise in SAP PP (Production Planning) and QM (Quality Management), preferably with exposure to S/4 HANA. Below are the key aspects they are prioritizing:
 
Technical Skills:
• SAP Expertise:
• Minimum 7+ years of hands-on SAP configuration and implementation experience.
• Current experience with SAP S/4 HANA is preferred, though SAP ECC 6.0 (Enhancement Pack 8 or higher) experience is acceptable.
• Proficiency in SAP PPQM modules and integration with related modules (e.g., SD, MM, FICO, PS).
• Manufacturing Processes:
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including discrete, repetitive, and process manufacturing.
• Experience with production orders, process orders, REM orders, and production scheduling profiles.
Configuration:
• Configuration expertise in PP and QM, including master data (inspection plans, sampling methods, quality notifications) and processes (in-process inspections, GR inspections, results recording, etc.).
• Hands-on configuration of inventory movements (IM, EWM), batch management, and handling units.
Integration:
• Experience integrating SAP with MES systems and other enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with third-party tools like PlanetTogether, LIMS systems, or similar tools.
Tools:
• Working knowledge of tools such as SharePoint, ServiceNow, JIRA, and Zephyr.
Additional Skills:
• Experience with data conversion, cutover activities, and application support (ticket handling).
Experience and Industry Knowledge:
• Professional Background:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline (or 10 years equivalent work experience).
• Proven track record of working in team-oriented, collaborative environments.
• Manufacturing Expertise:
• Deep knowledge of manufacturing execution processes, production confirmation, inventory movements, and handling unit functionalities.
• Quality Management:
• Expertise in QM processes like inspections, results recording, and quality notifications.
• Familiarity with LIMS systems (Sample Manager, Labworks, ThermoFisher) is a significant plus.
Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective prioritization and ability to handle high-pressure environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service focus and ability to work independently.
