Job Description
Role: Peoplesoft analyst
Location: WI
Mostlv remote with occasional onsite davs required. Candidate MUST be a WI resident or willing to relocate to WI prior to starting the role at their own expense.
Position goals: Recommend and implement a reconciliation approach and methodoloav that uses/develops Standard Robust queries for Agencies to perform system reconciliations and monitoring.
Required skills: (5+ vears)
• Must have Financial Functional Understanding of svstem data (Not just technical)
• Must have an understanding of GL and KK reporting
• Must understand Multiple Setids
Preferred skills:
• Experience with Ouery Performance Issues
• Experience with nVision
Outputs:
1- Reconciliation Queries by: GL Account Code, Fund, Appropriation, Operating Unit, & Department ID:
• GL to KK
• GL to Each Submodule (AR. BI. EXP, AP, AM, LA, PC, TR, CM, CST-ACCTG)
• Proiect Costina (PC) Reconciliation
2- Monitorina queries
a. Exception Reportina (E.g. Transactions not JGENed from a subsystem module. Budget Exceptions bv module.)
3- Potential partnership with the BI Team to use their front-end dashboard for presenting results.
4- Updated query training material for section.
5- Update documentation for query standards.
In Scope:
• Queries
• Potentially nVision and/or BI Team's front-end dashboard for presentation of results
• Querv training for section
Out of Scope:
• Application Engines
• BI Publisher
Tasks Include:
• Review backlog of Agency queries
• Evaluate current reconciliation methodologies
• Evaluating current queries edit/modify or discontinue use
• New Queries
• Potentially New nVision lavouts
• Work with STAR Finance Team, SCO, and Agencies for business requirements
Add'l Info:
• Many queries written around go-live were/are:
o Inefficient
o Incorrect
o Incomplete
o Ambiguous
o Outdated (New functionality)
o Lack of understanding by the query writers
