Job Title: Digital Underwriting Consultant with life & Health Insurance/Re-insurance Experience

Note from the Client:- For Digital underwriting Consultant, we are looking for digital underwriter not from Operations perspective…but from building software for underwriters for Life Insurance package implementation.
As per our yesterday’s discussion with client, prior experience working with Rules Engines has across as ‘Must-Have’ requirement for this job so that could be a potential show-stopper
Candidate should have Experience with Life and disability products (primarily mortality and morbidity products)
Hands-on working proficiency in basic Microsoft Excel (use, creating and formatting spreadsheets, simple data entry, and sorting or filtering data) and Microsoft Powerpoint (use, creating and editing presentations)
Should have prior experience with using evidences including MIB, LabPiq, Medical Claims Data, RX Checks, Electronic Health Records for making underwriting decisions
Job Description:
Client is looking for a digital underwriting consultant who can handle following responsibilities:
Manage, maintain, and update rulesets for a digital underwriting service: “UnderwritingPal (UWPal)", ensuring rulesets are aligned with underwriting guidelines, and regulatory standards.
Optimize rule configurations and improve straight-through processing (STP) rates.
Serve as a resource for Aura Next implementations in the US and support for research and development of new digital underwriting capabilities.
Participate in research & development initiatives to expand or advance technology for digital underwriting capabilities.
Work closely with digital underwriting project & product (teams)
providing underwriting direction and working to ensure that the underwriting approach works as designed and is in line with underwriting philosophy.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience Required:
Experience developing and implementing rules for an underwriting engine, including straight through processing optimization.
7+ years of experience in life & health insurance/reinsurance in the US market
Experience providing consultative services and software implementation for digital underwriting solutions.
Experience using evidences including MIB, LabPiq, Medical Claims Data, RX Checks, Electronic Health Records for making underwriting decisions
ACS, ALU, FLMI, FALU or CLU accreditation or progress towards accreditation
7+ years of experience direct underwriting experience with mortality and morbidity products
Required Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in basic Microsoft Excel use, creating and formatting spreadsheets, simple data entry, and sorting or filtering data.
Proficiency in basic Microsoft PowerPoint use, creating and editing presentations.
Strong oral and written communication skills including presentation skills, demonstrating the ability to convey information in a way that is meaningful and well received by stakeholders and team members.
Ability to adapt to new methods and work under tight deadlines.
Expert skills in managing multiple projects and/or sub-teams simultaneously.
Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional and technical disciplines.
Strong knowledge of insurance principles, underwriting related regulations, underwriting policies and procedures and guidelines for dealing with risk analysis.
