Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize scalable data solutions using the Microsoft Analytics ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SQL, Python, dbt, ETL processes, and dimensional modeling, along with experience in Azure Cloud infrastructure to manage hybrid analytics workloads.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data engineering solutions in collaboration with clients and internal teams.
- Develop and maintain efficient ETL pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
- Apply dimensional modeling best practices to create robust data models for analytics and reporting.
- Utilize Python, dbt, and SQL for advanced data transformation and integration processes.
- Optimize data storage and retrieval mechanisms to support high-performance analytics workloads.
- Implement and manage hybrid analytics workloads on Azure Cloud, including networking and security configurations.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure accuracy, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with BI teams to seamlessly integrate data assets into Power BI and other reporting platforms.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and cloud analytics.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering with expertise in the Microsoft Analytics stack (Fabric, Synapse, SQL, SSAS, SSRS).
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and data modeling techniques.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools and frameworks, such as dbt.
- Deep understanding of data extraction patterns and dimensional modeling for analytics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop scalable and efficient data solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including experience in client-facing roles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure Cloud infrastructure, including hybrid analytics workload configurations and networking.
- Certifications in Azure Engineering (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
- Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub for code repositories and deployment.
- Familiarity with machine learning workflows and advanced analytics tools.
- Knowledge of additional data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Qlik.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
