Job Description
Job Title Network Engineer
Location Denver, Colorado (Onsite 4 days)
Contract Probably 6-12 months.
Testing the firmware level of routers.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant work experience
- Router testing experience (Cisco, Juniper, and Arista are used on this team)
- Networking knowledge and knowledge of following protocols: BGP, OSPF, RIP
- CCNA or CCNP certifications
Plusses:
- Java, Python, or Bash scripting
- ECSI/VM environment background
- Testrail experience for tracking testing efforts
- Day to Day/Project:
- Run test cases as they have a new version of code in the router and hundreds of test cases need to be run
- Main job duty: testing routers
- Right now, this is a manual process and they are trying to script it, but they’ve lost some of the scripting
- Scripting would be done in mostly Python
- Need to understand network protocols
- Completing 2-3 certifications at a time and running those test cases
