Job Description:
Join our dynamic team where you'll play a critical role in managing, optimizing, and securing our databases while supporting both development and production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Database Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Sybase & PostgreSQL systems; manage database objects; handle upgrades and migrations.
Performance Optimization: Monitor and analyze database performance; optimize queries and configurations; resolve bottlenecks.
Backup & Recovery: Develop strategies, perform backups, and ensure data integrity with disaster recovery plans.
Security Management: Implement security policies, manage roles and permissions, and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation and generate reports on database usage and performance.
Required Skills:
Proficiency in Sybase ASE/IQ platforms.
Expertise in database performance tuning and optimization.
Familiarity with backup/recovery tools and techniques.
Strong understanding of database security best practices.
Experience with monitoring tools like pgAdmin and Sybase Control Center.
Knowledge of replication, clustering, and high availability solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Certifications in Sybase and PostgreSQL.
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL database platforms.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment:
5 Days Onsite
24x7 Rotational Shifts (including weekends as per team roster)
