Job Description

• The Programmer would be driving systems analysis, design, programming, documentation, performance evaluation, or implementation of complex system applications and related Management Information Systems/Automated Data Processing (MIS/ADP) systems concepts for effective implementation of the State's Traffic / Accident System.
• The individual will participates in all phases of the software development life cycle with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing and acceptance phases. The candidate will design and prepare technical reports and related documentation, and makes charts and graphs to record results. They will also prepare and deliver presentations and briefings as required, while also leading tasks on occasion.
• The candidate should have 7 years progressive experience in the analysis and design of business applications using database management systems and /or high level programming languages. with recent hands-on experience within the last two years.
• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline is required.
• While the key skillset is ESRI mapping experience, preferably with tools like ArcIMS, ArcSDE, and ArcGIS Engine, over GPS/GIS experience is the core business need. Experience with C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, XML, or XSLT along with SQL Server / Oracle would be key in handling the web-based aspect of the GIS programming and information.
