Job Title: Azure Data Engineer

Location: Remote

Experience: Minimum 10 Years

Contract Duration: 6 to 12 Months (with possible extension)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer for a remote, long-term contract engagement. The ideal candidate will possess 10+ years of data engineering experience, including strong expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory (ADF), SQL, and ETL development. This role is open exclusively to U.S. Citizens and Green Card holders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement enterprise-scale data solutions using Azure Synapse and ADF
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows
• Collaborate with architects and analysts to gather data requirements and develop data models
• Optimize complex SQL queries and ensure high-performing data solutions
• Enforce data governance, security, and compliance protocols across Azure environments
• Maintain documentation for all data processes and architectural decisions
• Contribute to Agile teams and participate in regular sprint meetings

Required Skills:

• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with:
• Azure Synapse Analytics
• Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Advanced SQL development and performance tuning
• ETL/ELT pipeline design and implementation
• Expertise in data warehousing concepts, data lakes, and Azure-based architectures
• Proficient in handling structured/semi-structured data (e.g., CSV, JSON, Parquet)
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices using tools like Azure DevOps

Nice to Have:

• Azure certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate
• Familiarity with Azure Data Lake Gen2, Databricks, Power BI, or other BI tools
