Role Summary
The IT Project Manager is responsible for managing and delivering complex IT initiatives through all phases of the Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
This role oversees end-to-end project execution — including planning, coordination, execution, and reporting — ensuring that deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
The Project Manager will work closely with IT, business stakeholders, and executive leadership, and may also lead projects involving AI-based solutions and digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee day-to-day activities for multiple concurrent IT projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Coordinate all project activities with IT teams, business owners, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain all project management documentation, including project charters, schedules, budgets, risk and communication plans, and gate reviews.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Translate business requirements into detailed technical documentation in partnership with business analysts and solution architects.
- Track and report project performance using relevant metrics and dashboards to ensure transparency and proactive issue resolution.
- Identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and issues, and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
- Provide clear and concise status updates to leadership, highlighting progress, challenges, and strategic implications.
- Ensure that all projects comply with audit and governance requirements.
- Monitor emerging AI technologies and trends, assessing their potential impact and integration opportunities across projects.
- Lead project teams in both Waterfall and Agile delivery models, adapting as needed based on project requirements.
- Perform additional assignments and initiatives in alignment with PMO goals and enterprise strategy.
Technical Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience managing IT projects, with a focus on application development, data integration, or infrastructure initiatives.
- In-depth understanding of project management methodologies and SDLC processes.
- Proven ability to independently deliver mid-sized to large-scale IT integration projects.
- Familiarity with Commercial Insurance or Financial Services industries preferred.
- Strong command of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project delivery methods.
- Hands-on experience with Project and Portfolio Management tools, such as MS Project, Planview, and SharePoint.
- Ability to translate business goals into technical deliverables and measurable outcomes.
- Experience managing cross-functional, matrixed teams in complex enterprise environments.

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline required.
