Client is seeking a Staff-Level Platform Engineer to join its digital engineering team. This individual will be responsible for driving automation, efficiency, and scalability across cloud infrastructure systems, with a primary focus on AWS and Terraform. The ideal candidate will be an expert in cloud automation practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), with the ability to architect and implement robust, scalable, and secure solutions.

This is a hands-on engineering role — best suited for someone who thrives on optimizing platforms, eliminating manual processes, and improving delivery pipelines through automation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using Terraform on AWS.

- Automate cloud provisioning, deployment, and monitoring processes to improve operational efficiency.

- Participate in solution design and architecture discussions, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

- Identify automation opportunities and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices across environments.

- Contribute to continuous improvement of DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, and platform observability.

- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Cloud, Security, DevOps, and Development) to align on standards and solutions.

- Perform code reviews, enforce best practices, and guide junior team members.

- Document processes, systems, and architectural decisions for long-term scalability.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 7–10 years of hands-on experience in platform engineering, cloud automation, or DevOps.

- Strong proficiency with Terraform for provisioning and managing AWS resources.

- Expertise in AWS infrastructure (EC2, Lambda, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudFormation, etc.).

- Proven experience automating workflows and systems — "automate everything" mindset.

- Scripting experience in Bash and/or Python.

- Deep understanding of system design, performance optimization, and scalability.

- Strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.

- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or equivalent certification.

- Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or similar credential.

- Previous experience in large-scale enterprise or healthcare environments.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
