Job Description
Role: Network / System Engineer
Location: Charlotte, NC and Chandler, AZ (HYBRID- 3 DAY)- locals
Duration: This is a 12 + month contract position.
Interview- Second round interview
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, automate, and operate next-generation solutions for Innovation Labs
- Deliver Lab-as-a-Service offerings to internal customers across the enterprise
- Support proof-of-concept and technology certification initiatives
- Collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, and Operations teams to accelerate innovation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Data Communications, or Computer Science
- Strong knowledge of enterprise routing and switching protocols (MPLS, BGP, EIGRP).
- Deep understanding of LAN/WAN, compute, storage, Linux, Windows, and Python scripting
- Hands-on experience with Linux, Windows, Active Directory, and VMware ESXi
- Proven ability to configure and support complex, multi-layered network environments
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Visual Basic
- Familiarity with configuration management systems (e.g., Ansible, Ansible Tower)
- Excellent communication, reporting, and organizational skills
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and able to work independently or within distributed global teams
- Ability to thrive under tight deadlines in high-pressure environments
- Quick learner with adaptability to emerging technologies and willingness to train others
- Expertise in network technologies, including switching, routing, application delivery, firewalling, proxy, DNS, time services, SDN, and overlay networking
- Experience with cloud platforms, virtualization, and network function virtualization (NFV)
- Proficiency in Python programming, application development, and collaboration with highly technical engineering teams
- Strong understanding of client-server architecture, virtualization, containers, and private/public cloud environments
- CCNP, CCDP, CCIE
- VCP, VCAP, VCDP
