The APM Engineer provides hands-on operational support across Dev/QA/Prod environments for databases, reporting, ETL, schedulers, and monitoring platforms. The role owns manual deployments, access administration, incident response, and performance monitoring using Datadog and Precise, while partnering closely with application teams, DBAs, and platform owners to keep mission-critical claims and data workflows healthy and compliant. This position operates within a 24/7 production support model and participates in off-hours change windows.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute manual deployments to QA & PROD; run command-line deploys; perform post-deployment validations.
• Patch servers across Dev/QA/Prod; handle emergency changes following ERM and change control.
• Manage CyberArk password changes, unlock/update credentials, and maintain secure access.
• Perform Kill SPID actions for REQ/INC; support flexclones & maintenance jobs.
• SQL Server & Oracle Operations: credential updates, performance monitoring, and incident remediation.
• SSRS: Deploy RDL files; manage folders, datasources, subscriptions; assign permissions; retire templates.
• SSIS & Informatica: Deploy packages; manage folders/directories; assign permissions; import
• XML; update connection passwords; adjust Designer values.
• ServiceNow (SNOW): Verify QA logs and pushes; attach logs; respond to incidents and requests.
• CTU Access Management: Grant/revoke access for SQL, SSRS, SSIS, Oracle, Informatica; troubleshoot errors.
• TIDAL Scheduler: Update variables across Dev/QA/Prod; ensure schedule integrity.
• Monitoring & Performance: Respond to Precise alerts; perform health checks; create alerts and agents; install OS/SQL agents; in Datadog: create monitors, tune thresholds, maintain YAML configs, trend analysis, reduce alert noise.
• Documentation & Process Improvements: Maintain runbooks, audit processes, document learnings, and support hybrid training formats.
