Overview
We are seeking a Senior Technical Leader with strong full-stack development experience to join our Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) product team. The product has been in production for two years and continues to evolve with new features and capabilities. This role involves hands-on development, technical leadership, and mentoring junior team members, with the potential to transition into an architecture role in the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a small team of onshore and offshore developers, providing guidance and removing technical roadblocks.
- Collaborate with product owners to translate requirements, design solutions, and groom user stories.
- Plan and oversee implementation activities, ensuring high-quality execution.
- Perform code reviews (approximately 50% of time) and contribute to design, validation, and development as needed.
- Drive technical discussions, propose solutions, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Work in a self-driven manner—actively engage with stakeholders, ask questions, and validate requirements.
Technical Requirements
- Full Stack Development: Java, Angular
- Databases: MongoDB, PostgreSQL
- Caching: Redis
- Messaging: Kafka (Pub/Sub) – Nice to have
- Architecture: Microservices
- DevOps: Understanding of coding and branching strategies, GitHub Actions (not building pipelines)
- Cloud: Azure preferred (open to other cloud platforms)
- Testing: Ability to write automated test cases
- Additional: Familiarity with AI-driven tools to accelerate development
Preferred Experience
- Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) domain knowledge
- Ability to mentor junior developers and lead technical initiatives
- Exposure to Kafka Pub/Sub and distributed systems
Interview Process
- Round 1: 1-hour technical assessment with a technical leader and architect
- 50% hands-on technical (use cases, coding)
- 50% design and architecture (conceptual walkthrough)
- Round 2: If needed, deeper discussion on solution design and logical thought process
