Title: GIS Applications like AEGIS Developer

Details
Responsible for application development of GIS Applications like AEGIS (Advanced Enterprise Graphic Information System) user stories (i.e., user requirements) using G/Technology, ESRI ArcGIS, C# created in Kanban tool through agile DevOps sprints. Perform Unit Testing and System Integration testing of components developed for AEGIS.
• Customize and Debug the custom tools that have been incorporated in the GIS Distribution applications
• Perform Unit Testing and System Integration testing of components developed for AEGIS. Debug and analyze the Issue reported in severity incident issues and provide the solutions over controlled environments.
• As an application developer troubleshoot GIS related issues raised by Oncor functional partners and provide daily incident summary to senior management and resolve high priority issues. Analyze and Publish updated map data daily using custom programs in order to facilitate the performance tuning of GTechnology & related GIS Applications at Oncor.
• Responsible to keep the GIS applications and the related asset management application services like GIS Automator, G/Technology application, Networks Portal up and running and edit the GIS Database’s tables based on client’s requirement to Update/delete/insert data.
• Perform application administrative activities such as release management tasks i.e deploying changes into GIS Production environment by adopting optimized method of implementation via migration packages, monitor critical scheduled jobs, application server to mitigate any risk of application outages in advance.
• Review changes with Oncor Change Control Board and coordinate with Oncor Delivery Optimization team to deploy changes for all testing environment for Quality Assurance Testing.
• Create Technical Design documents (High Level and Low level) for the development and enhancement activities for GTech, DotNet and GIS technologies involved.
• Analyze & understand the Business Requirements & create Functional Specification Documents (FS), Mapping Sheets, Low Level Design Documents (LLD) and Interface Design Documents (IDD).Review these documents with Oncor Operation, project managers and Architects for approval.
• Perform an impact analysis and figure out possible changes to be made in existing applications to resolve the issue without impacting the existing system.
• Perform RCA (Root Cause Analysis) as per guidelines by IBM and Oncor for all incidents that had multi user or site impacts. Cause of the technical components & data, impact details, technical procedure to be followed to avoid reoccurrence of the issue and preventive actions all needs to be documented as part of RCA.
• Coordinate with Oncor IT Support groups such Oracle Database Administrator, Websphere MQ, Windows Admin Teams, Solaris Admin Teams, Linux Admin Teams, Network Support team, Source Control Bitbucket teams, in order to ensure smooth running of the applications which require to interact with
multiple interfaces.
