Job Description
Job Title: Programmer Analyst 6 (Application Architect) MDHHS
Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid 2 days onsite per week)
Duration: 1 year with possible extension
We are seeking qualified vendors to submit candidates for this role. Please review the strict requirements below before submitting.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the application development team.
Develop business application components using Object-Oriented Java/JEE technologies and design principles.
Design, develop, and maintain RESTful web services, web applications, and interfaces.
Prepare and maintain technology roadmaps for supported applications.
Design and review logical and physical database models in Oracle and Postgres; experience with data migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL is required.
Write well-designed, testable code using Spring MVC, SpringBoot, Hibernate, ReactJS, jQuery/HTML5, and JavaScript.
Execute the full software development life cycle (SDLC) and write technical specifications for complex projects.
Tune SQL queries and troubleshoot issues using SQL/PL/SQL scripts.
Work with solution architects to recommend cost-effective solutions in the cloud (AWS).
Integrate software components into fully functional systems.
Develop prototypes and mockups for user review and approval.
Work on large agile projects and implement test-driven development.
Create and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
Provide expertise in application servers like Apache Tomcat, JBOSS, and OpenShift Container.

12+ years: Architecting, designing, and developing complex computer systems using Java technologies.
12+ years: Reviewing technical design to ensure enterprise design standards are maintained.
10+ years: Designing and reviewing logical and physical data models in SQL and/or PL/SQL.
8+ years: Programming using Java JEE Spring/SpringBoot Framework.
8+ years: Development using Hibernate/JPA framework.
5+ years: Project development using Angular/React JS and JavaScript frameworks.
5+ years: Experience in JBOSS Enterprise SOA and DevOps containers environment.
5+ years: Experience with CMM/CMMI Level 3 methods and practices.
5+ years: Implemented agile development processes including test-driven development.
5 years: Cloud technologies experience, preferably in AWS.
3+ years: Experience or knowledge creating CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
Nice to Have / Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on expertise with Databricks.
Experience with Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, and ActiveMQ broker.
Experience with AWS services: S3, EC2, VPC, Lambda, Amazon MSK, ROSA (OpenShift), EKS, or ECS Fargate.
Familiarity with Kubernetes concepts (Pods, Deployments, Services, Persistent Volumes) and Elastic agents.
