Title: Node.JS Developer

Project: The backend microservices team is central to this effort, building RESTful APIs that other teams depend on to deliver seamless guest experiences. We are seeking Node.js Backend Developers with strong JavaScript/TypeScript expertise to join this collaborative environment and help build things the right way.
Roles
Backend Node.JS/Microservices Developer
- Preference is for some or all to sit in Orlando however fully remote candidates are acceptable as well.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend microservices using Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Architects, and Quality Engineers to ensure scalable, reliable solutions
- Participate in Agile ceremonies within a Scaled Agile delivery framework
- Contribute to integration efforts across multiple systems, ensuring APIs are consumable by dependent teams
- Apply engineering best practices including Unit Testing, Test‑Driven Development (TDD), and performance testing
- Identify pain points and propose solutions while evangelizing backend development best practices
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 9+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js (server‑side development)
- Hands‑on experience with REST API design and development (Swagger/OpenAPI a plus)
- Proficiency with Express.js and backend frameworks
- Experience with Document databases (CouchDB preferred) and Relational databases (MSSQL preferred)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins preferred)
- Solid understanding of version control systems (Git preferred)
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non‑technical peers
- Experience working in Agile environments
Not Required
- Mobile application development experience
- Front‑end frameworks (Angular, React, etc.)
- Full‑stack development background — this role is backend‑focused (80%+ backend work)
