Job Description
Sr Data Scientist
St Louis, MO (1st preference), also open to Charlotte and Denver – hybrid, 4 days/week onsite
Long-term contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of machine learning models for anomaly detection and predictive analytics
- Train, evaluate, and optimize ML models for performance and scalability
- Partner with engineering, architecture, and project management teams to deliver data-driven solutions
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members
- Contribute to the evaluation and implementation of AI-driven monitoring tools
- Work across large-scale database environments to extract, transform, and analyze data
- Support both on-prem and cloud-based data platforms
- Help establish and maintain best practices and development standards
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience
- Experience using Database technologies on a daily basis (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, or similar)
- Strong experience with machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI)
- Familiarity with cloud-based AI tools (e.g., AWS Bedrock or similar platforms)
- Experience working with infrastructure, servers, and networking concepts
- Hands-on experience with anomaly detection and predictive analytics
- Proven experience building and training ML models in production environments
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments
- Exposure to data warehousing solutions such as Amazon Redshift
- Experience with additional databases such as MongoDB, Teradata, or Redis
- Background supporting or partnering with DBA or application development teams
