Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Platform Administration
- Install, configure, and upgrade SAP BusinessObjects (BI 4.x) and SAP BODS environments
- Administer CMC: manage users, groups, roles, and access levels
- Perform system health checks, monitoring, and performance tuning
- Manage BO and Data Services (DS) services
Security & Access Management
- Manage authentication (Active Directory, Enterprise)
- Provision users and map AD groups to BO roles
- Ensure role-based access and compliance with security standards
Performance & Troubleshooting
- Monitor BO performance and troubleshoot issues (Web Intelligence, scheduling, report execution)
- Perform weekend maintenance activities:
- Cache cleanup
- Server restarts / rolling restarts
- Analyze logs and coordinate with SAP support for incident resolution
Scheduling & Publishing
- Manage report scheduling and bursting (InfoBurst / native BO)
- Troubleshoot failed schedules and performance issues
- Monitor job queues and system capacity
Change & Incident Management
- Handle incidents, service requests, and problem management
- Participate in change management (CRs, RITMs) and deployments
- Coordinate with Basis, Database, OS, Network, and WAF teams
- Perform routine maintenance:
- Patching support
- Upgrades
- Disaster Recovery (DR) testing
- Support QA, UAT, and Production environments
Documentation & Compliance
- Create and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and technical documentation
- Ensure platform compliance with audit and security requirements
