Job Description
Tata Consultancy Services mortgage division in Cincinnati is growing and we are seeking exceptional talent to fulfill various back-office mortgage roles to include Processing, Closing, Servicing, Pre-Closing & Mortgage Document Coordinator.
 
Responsibilities could include:
  • Quality control of loans in Encompass and boarding of loans to IBS
  • Ensure proper follow-up and filing of original loan documents (Note, recorded Mortgage, Title Policy and Assignments) within the prescribed timeframes to complete the Collateral files.
  • Ensure proper follow-ups for all required recorded mortgage documents, corrections to recorded documents and re-recording of mortgage documents.
  • Ensure proper follow-ups for all final title policies and corrections to final title policies
  • Assist with the follow-up on corrective documentation sent to borrowers and/or settlement agents.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of external home equity subordination requests.
  • Review title work supplied by applicant’s settlement agent.
  • Communicate with settlement the agent regarding obtaining any missing documentation.
  • Clear all mortgage commitment conditions.
  • Coordinate and schedule the closing with the applicant and settlement agent.
  • Verify that the proposed mortgage will constitute a valid first lien
  • Order and review appraisals, titles and updates of flood certifications, if expired.
  • Score applications using the automated underwriting systems (DU and LP) and review decision results.
  • Communicate internally to advise of required documentation needed of applicants.
  • Verify the accuracy of received information and update Encompass as needed
  • Review income documents (pay stubs, tax returns)
  • Upload tax returns to LoanBeam to obtain income calculation for self employed borrowers
  • Move and rename unassigned documents into appropriate placeholders in Encompass.
  • Review and organize completed files for submission to underwriters
  • Manage an assigned pipeline of loans
  • Collaborate with Home Loan Consultant (HLC) to identify viable solutions while maintaining high credit quality.
  • Update loan records with all activity and comments.
  • Request verifications (VOE, VOD, VOM, etc.), when applicable.
  • Communicate internally to provide status updates regarding customer loan applications.
  • Verify data as per Data Verification report
 
Experience required:
  • 2+ years of Mortgage experience, preferrable in back-office retail mortgages
  • Familiarity with conventional, FHA, VA, and other loan programs
  • Experience reviewing income, credit, assets, and appraisal documentation
  • Understanding of federal and state lending regulations
  • Ability to ensure compliance with investor and company guidelines
