Job Description
The Lead Data Analyst will lead the design, analysis, testing, and implementation of enterprise Data Warehouse solutions supporting Policy, Claims, Billing, Quotes, Agency, and related insurance data domains. This role is responsible for managing projects throughout the full lifecycle, from requirements gathering through post-implementation support, while partnering closely with business and IT stakeholders. The position requires deep expertise in data warehousing, data modeling, SQL development, and Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance operations.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Data Warehouse projects through the full project lifecycle, including analysis, development, testing, implementation, and support.
  • Analyze and clarify business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and data transformation logic.
  • Develop and maintain data models, mappings, and ETL processes using SDLC methodologies and best practices.
  • Perform unit, integration, user acceptance, and performance testing to ensure data quality and system reliability.
  • Partner with development teams to guide implementation and provide technical leadership.
  • Monitor production data environments, troubleshoot issues, and support downstream applications and users.
  • Optimize database and query performance through tuning and analysis.
  • Build strong relationships with business and IT stakeholders while mentoring junior team members.
  • Independently manage priorities, proactively identify issues, and drive projects to completion.
  • Quickly learn and analyze new data sources, systems, and business processes.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in Data Analysis, Data Warehousing, or SQL development environments.
  • Strong experience with relational databases, data modeling, data mapping, and transformation.
  • Expertise with SQL databases including DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, and Snowflake preferred.
  • Experience working with AWS cloud-based database applications and Snowflake data warehouse environments.
  • Knowledge of Informatica or similar ETL tools.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies, project planning, and estimation.
  • Deep knowledge of the Property & Casualty Insurance industry, including policy and claims lifecycles.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and project management skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage large, complex projects.
