Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and optimize enterprise wireless LAN (WLAN) solutions across corporate and industrial environments.
- Conduct predictive and onsite wireless surveys using Ekahau, Hamina, and other wireless assessment tools.
- Perform RF analysis, channel planning, coverage optimization, and interference mitigation.
- Design and implement Aruba wireless solutions and Aruba ClearPass environments.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex wireless issues including authentication failures, connectivity problems, interference, and performance degradation.
- Develop and maintain Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation for wireless, NAC, and related network services.
- Create and manage Bill of Materials (BoM) for wireless deployments, refresh projects, and upgrade initiatives.
- Support wireless lifecycle management including hardware refreshes, software upgrades, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
- Work closely with IT, infrastructure, operations, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable wireless solutions.
- Support deployment of SD-WAN-enabled connectivity services.
- Participate in disaster recovery and alternative connectivity initiatives utilizing 5G and satellite technologies.
- Contribute to engineering standards, best practices, documentation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in Network Engineering with strong focus on Enterprise Wireless Networks.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Aruba Wireless technologies.
- Strong expertise with Aruba ClearPass including:
- 802.1X Authentication
- RADIUS
- Network Access Control (NAC)
- Device Profiling
- Role-Based Access Control
- Experience designing and implementing large-scale enterprise WLAN environments.
- Strong understanding of:
- Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6E, and Wi-Fi 7
- RF Fundamentals
- Channel Planning
- Power Optimization
- Interference Mitigation
- Experience with enterprise wireless controllers and cloud-managed wireless platforms.
- Hands-on experience with wireless survey and design tools including:
- Ekahau
- Hamina
- Experience supporting large-scale wireless deployments across complex enterprise environments.
- Ability to analyze network performance metrics, trends, and wireless analytics data.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to travel to client locations for pre-deployment and post-deployment wireless surveys.
