SCOPE: CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
The SAP/Integration Solution Architect will lead the design and implementation of enterprise integration solutions that enable seamless connectivity across the SAP landscape and broader enterprise ecosystem. This role encompasses technical leadership, architecture design, and hands-on implementation to deliver robust and scalable integration solutions.
Integration Architecture & Design:
- Design and architect end-to-end SAP integration solutions across SAP and non-SAP systems
- Lead technical design sessions and develop integration architecture blueprints
- Implement integration solutions using SAP integration technologies (SAP PI/PO, CPI, BTP, IDocs, RFCs, APIs, OData services)
- Define integration standards, best practices, and governance frameworks
- Ensure integration architectures are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise architecture principles
Technical Leadership & Implementation:
- Collaborate with business analysts and functional teams to gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Oversee integration development, testing, and deployment activities
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams
- Ensure system performance, security, and scalability of integration solutions
- Support SAP landscape transformations, upgrades, and migrations
Problem Solving & Support:
- Troubleshoot complex integration issues and provide resolution strategies
- Conduct root cause analysis for integration failures and implement preventive measures
- Provide technical expertise during incident management and production support
- Optimize existing integration flows for improved performance and reliability
Documentation & Knowledge Transfer:
- Document technical architecture, integration flows, and design specifications
- Create and maintain technical documentation including solution designs, interface specifications, and runbooks
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and training for technical teams and business stakeholders
- Stay current with SAP integration trends and emerging technologies
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- Preferred: Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in SAP technical architecture and integration development
- Extensive hands-on experience with SAP integration technologies (PI/PO, CPI, Cloud Platform Integration)
- Strong experience with SAP modules (SAP ECC, S/4HANA, SAP BTP)
- Proven track record of designing and implementing complex integration solutions in enterprise environments
- Experience with APIs, Web Services (REST, SOAP), OData, and middleware platforms
- Strong understanding of SAP data structures, IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs
- Experience with SAP landscape architecture and system connectivity
- Demonstrated experience leading integration projects from design through implementation
Preferred Experience:
- SAP certification in integration technologies (SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP Cloud Platform Integration, PI/PO certification)
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Cloud and hybrid integration scenarios
- Knowledge of Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, or other enterprise integration platforms
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and cloud-native integration
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines for integration development
- Experience with SAP Fiori, UI5, and front-end integration
- Background in Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience in consumer goods, manufacturing, or retail industries
- Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2)
