Job Description
SAP ABAP Consultant with expertise in Commodity Management
Key Responsibilities
· Design and develop SAP ABAP solutions across RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows).
· Implement and enhance SAP Commodity Management (CM) functionalities including:
o Commodity pricing
o Contracts and procurement processes
o Settlement and integration with finance · Develop and optimize CDS Views, AMDP, and HANA-based data models.
· Build and integrate OData services and APIs for SAP and external systems.
· Implement enhancements using BAdIs, User Exits, and SAP Enhancement Framework.
· Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical designs.
· Ensure performance optimization and adherence to S/4HANA best practices and clean core principles.
· Work on integration with MM, SD, and FI modules.
· Support system testing, UAT, go-live, and post-production support.
· Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
Required Skills & Experience
· 5–8 years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
· Strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA ABAP.
· Proven experience in SAP Commodity Management (CM).
· Solid understanding of:
o Commodity pricing and contracts
o Procurement lifecycle
o Settlement and financial integration
· Knowledge of Commodity Trading & Risk Management concepts, including:
o Hedging
o Exposure management
· Expertise in:
o ABAP OO, Classical ABAP, RICEF objects
o CDS Views, AMDP, and Open SQL optimization
o RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model)
o OData services and API development
· Experience with:
o Enhancements (BAdI, User Exit, Enhancement Framework)
o Integration technologies (IDoc, RFC, BAPI, APIs)
o Adobe Forms / SmartForms
· Strong understanding of MM, SD, and FI integration.
Preferred Skills
· Exposure to SAP Fiori/UI5.
· Experience with SAP BTP / Business Application Studio.
· Knowledge of Agile/DevOps delivery models.
· Experience in S/4HANA transformation or migration projects.
