Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps AWS Engineer with 12+ years of IT experience and strong expertise in AWS Cloud, DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Kubernetes, and Databricks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, automating, and maintaining cloud-native infrastructure and deployment pipelines while supporting enterprise-scale data engineering and analytics platforms.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience building secure, scalable, and highly available AWS environments, automating infrastructure, managing containerized applications, and integrating Databricks into modern cloud data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application, data, and infrastructure deployments.
- Automate cloud provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK).
- Deploy, configure, and manage Databricks workspaces, clusters, jobs, and workflows.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to support Databricks-based data pipelines and Lakehouse architectures.
- Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
- Implement DevSecOps best practices, including automated security scanning, compliance, and vulnerability management.
- Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, or Splunk.
- Optimize AWS resources for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
- Automate operational tasks using Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Work closely with development, QA, infrastructure, and data engineering teams to improve deployment automation.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to DevOps standards and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services.
- Strong experience building enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks administration and deployment.
- Experience supporting modern Data Lake/Lakehouse platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Linux system administration.
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK).
- Experience with Git-based version control systems.
- Strong scripting skills using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

- AWS (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, Lambda, ECS, EKS, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, SNS, SQS, Route 53, API Gateway, Secrets Manager, KMS)Preferred Qualifications
