Role Overview:
As the IT Delivery Lead (SAP Retail) representing ITCI at a leading San Francisco-based retail client, you will act as the key bridge between client business stakeholders and offshore delivery teams.
You will own the end-to-end delivery of critical SAP Retail initiatives, ensuring programs are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with enterprise business priorities in a high-growth environment.
This role requires strong SAP Retail expertise, excellent client-facing leadership, and a strong focus on business outcomes over task execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Stakeholder Management & Communication:
· Act as the primary onsite point of contact for IT and business leadership at the client organization.
· Translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-relevant insights.
· Manage stakeholder expectations and balance competing priorities effectively.
· Lead governance meetings, steering committee discussions, and executive status reporting.
End-to-End Program Delivery Ownership
· Drive programs with a focus on business value realization, not just delivery completion.
· Oversee project health including scope, schedule, budget, risks, and resource planning.
· Proactively identify and mitigate delivery risks and blockers.
· Ensure SAP solutions align with Finance, Supply Chain, Merchandising, and Retail Operations processes.
Onsite–Offshore Delivery Coordination
· Collaborate closely with offshore delivery teams to ensure seamless execution across geographies.
· Convert business requirements into clear, actionable technical and functional specifications.
· Provide retail domain context to improve delivery quality and reduce rework.
· Ensure smooth communication and coordination across distributed teams.
Required Qualifications & Experience
· 6–8 years of strong hands-on experience in SAP Retail environments (SAP IS-Retail, S/4HANA Retail, Finance, Pricing, Inventory Management, etc.).
· Proven experience in client-facing roles within IT consulting or system integration environments.
· Strong track record in managing global onsite–offshore delivery models.
· Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders (Director / VP level).
· Strong understanding of retail business processes including omnichannel commerce, supply chain, and store operations.
Preferred Skills:
· SAP S/4HANA Retail transformation experience.
· Program management / PMO leadership experience.
· Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
· Experience in large-scale enterprise retail transformation programs.
