Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Android Application Tester to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, usability, and stability of our Android applications through comprehensive manual and automated testing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to design effective test cases.
• Perform manual testing on Android applications across multiple devices and OS versions.
• Develop, maintain, and execute test cases and test plans.
• Conduct various types of testing including functional, regression, UI/UX, usability, compatibility, and performance testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Work closely with the development team to replicate issues and ensure timely resolutions.
• Conduct API testing using tools like Postman.
• Create and maintain automation scripts using tools like Appium, Espresso (if required).
• Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Provide detailed test reports and recommendations for product improvement.
Required Skills:
• Strong understanding of Android OS, mobile app architecture, and mobile testing methodologies.
• Hands-on experience in manual mobile application testing.
• Knowledge of Android Studio, ADB, and emulator/simulator usage.
• Experience with bug tracking and test case management tools like JIRA, TestRail.
• Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman.
