Job Description
We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Finance Techno-Functional Consultant with strong expertise in SAP Finance and ABAP development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on functional and technical experience across Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), and Fixed Assets (FA), along with strong knowledge of SAP ECC, SAP PI/PO, and modern SAP UI5/OData technologies.
The candidate should be capable of working across functional and technical teams, understanding enterprise architecture, identifying business requirements, and proposing innovative SAP solutions aligned with best practices.
Must-Have Technical/Functional Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP ABAP/4
- Strong functional and technical knowledge of SAP FI/CO
- Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), and Fixed Assets (FA/AM)
- Experience with SAP ECC
- Strong experience with SAP PI/PO
- Experience with SAP UI5 development
- Strong knowledge of New General Ledger (New GL)
- Experience with SAP Finance configuration, development, and integration
- Strong understanding of SAP best practices and enterprise architecture
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide both functional and technical expertise across SAP Finance, particularly AP, GL, and FA functional areas.
- Design, develop, enhance, and support SAP applications using ABAP/4.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable SAP technical and functional solutions.
- Develop and maintain FRICEW objects, including Forms, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Workflows.
- Design and develop SAP integrations using SAP PI/PO.
- Develop and support SAP UI5 applications and OData services.
- Work extensively with SAP enhancement technologies, including:
- User Exits
- BAdIs
- BTEs
- Enhancement Points
- Enhancement Framework
- Switch Framework
- Research, recommend, and implement appropriate SAP enhancements based on business requirements.
- Work closely with Finance functional teams, business stakeholders, and technical teams to resolve complex issues.
- Provide innovative solution recommendations while ensuring alignment with SAP architecture and development standards.
- Support integration between SAP Finance and other SAP/non-SAP enterprise applications.
- Participate in application design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical and functional issues across SAP Finance and ABAP environments.
- Ensure solutions follow SAP development standards, performance guidelines, security requirements, and best practices.
- Prepare technical specifications, development documentation, and solution design documents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the full SDLC.
Preferred Qualifications
- 8–18 years of SAP experience with strong ABAP and Finance exposure.
- Strong techno-functional experience in SAP FI/CO.
- Hands-on experience with AP, GL, and FA/Asset Management.
- Strong ABAP development experience in an SAP ECC environment.
- Experience with SAP PI/PO, UI5, and OData.
- Strong understanding of SAP enhancement frameworks and FRICEW development.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with functional and technical teams.
