Job Description
Oversight Analyst – Embedded Banking Oversight
 
The Oversight Analyst will support the Embedded Banking organization by monitoring and assessing risk associated with Commercial Third-Party Deposit Partners (CTPDPs) and their customers. This role is responsible for ongoing partner oversight, risk-based testing, KYC/CDD reviews, governance, reporting, and escalation of compliance, AML, fraud, sanctions, and operational risks.
 
The Analyst will work closely with relationship management, risk management, AML, compliance, and third-party partners to ensure adherence to bank policies, regulatory requirements, and established risk appetite.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Partner Risk Oversight
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc oversight reviews of third-party partners.
  • Review AML, OFAC, fraud, unusual activity, and material business change reports.
  • Monitor third- and fourth-party payment activities and identify potential risks.
  • Participate in partner meetings and maintain detailed documentation and supporting evidence.
  • Identify, document, and escalate control deficiencies and material risks.
  • Analyze Returned Deposit Item (RDI) reports and escalate activity exceeding established risk thresholds.
  • Review sanctions and adverse-media screening results and support remediation activities.
KYC & Customer Due Diligence:
  • Perform risk-based testing of partner customer onboarding files.
  • Review KYC/CDD documentation for completeness and compliance.
  • Document findings and communicate remediation requirements.
  • Track and escalate unresolved KYC or compliance issues.
Governance, Reporting & Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records and evidence for all oversight activities.
  • Prepare risk summaries, management reports, and tracking documentation.
  • Support internal audits, regulatory examinations, annual partner assessments, and internal reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with AML/BSA, OFAC, NACHA requirements, sanctions programs, and applicable operating rules.
Required Qualifications:
  • 2–5 years of experience in one or more of the following:
    • Payment Operations
    • Risk Management
    • AML/Compliance
    • Fraud
    • Third-Party Risk Management
  • Experience analyzing operational, compliance, financial, and fraud risks.
  • Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and recurring regulatory/operational deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Compliance, Accounting, Criminal Justice, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting fintech partnerships or embedded payment programs.
  • Knowledge of ACH, FedWire, RTP, and other payment methods.
  • Understanding of AML/BSA, OFAC, NACHA Operating Rules, and third-party/vendor risk frameworks.
  • Experience with regulatory examinations, audits, issue management, and remediation programs
