Job Description
Position Overview
Fuchs is seeking an experienced SAP FICO R2R Consultant to serve as the regional SAP Finance subject matter expert for Record to Report (R2R) processes. The consultant will support the design, implementation, deployment, governance, and continuous improvement of SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions.
This role will serve as a key bridge between regional Finance/Controlling teams and the global ERP organization, ensuring regional business requirements are appropriately represented while driving alignment with global SAP standards and templates.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in SAP FI/CO, R2R processes, SAP S/4HANA Finance, and experience working with multinational organizations and global ERP transformation programs.
Key Responsibilities
SAP Finance & R2R Process Leadership
- Serve as the regional SAP Finance expert for the Record to Report (R2R) process area.
- Represent regional Finance requirements during global template design and fit-to-standard workshops.
- Drive financial process harmonization, standardization, and adoption across the region.
- Evaluate proposed SAP solutions and assess business impacts against global standards.
- Partner with Global Process Owners, ERP Owners, Finance leadership, business stakeholders, and implementation partners.
SAP Solution Design & Configuration
- Participate in solution design, fit-to-standard workshops, process reviews, and design validation.
- Configure, enhance, and support SAP S/4HANA Finance functionality across:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Asset Accounting (AA)
- Controlling (CO)
- Product Costing
- Material Ledger
- Group Reporting
- Intercompany Accounting and Reconciliation
- Financial Close Management
- Support enhancements, change requests, integrations, and regional localization requirements.
- Ensure solutions align with global SAP template standards and approved design principles.
Testing & Deployment
- Lead or coordinate regional System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and regression testing.
- Review and validate business scenarios, requirements, and test scripts.
- Coordinate defect analysis and resolution with project, development, and support teams.
- Support cutover planning, deployment activities, and go-live readiness.
- Assist with post-go-live stabilization and transition to ongoing support.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary SAP Finance point of contact between regional Finance teams and the global ERP organization.
- Collaborate with Finance, Controlling, Treasury, Tax, Shared Services, and other business functions.
- Communicate solution decisions, process changes, project status, and impacts to regional stakeholders.
- Support change management, user adoption, and business readiness activities.
Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure regional SAP Finance processes comply with approved global standards and governance principles.
- Participate in solution review boards and global process governance activities.
- Identify opportunities for process simplification, automation, standardization, and improved data quality.
- Recommend continuous improvements to SAP Finance processes and solutions.
- Contribute to future ERP roadmap and transformation initiatives.
Production Support
- Provide Level 2/Level 3 production support for SAP Finance and R2R processes.
- Analyze and resolve complex, business-critical SAP Finance incidents.
- Coordinate with regional and global support teams to ensure system stability.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close activities.
- Assist with business continuity and critical financial operations.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- SAP S/4HANA Finance certification is preferred.
Professional Experience
- 10+ years of SAP Finance experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
- 5+ years of experience supporting Record to Report (R2R) processes within a global or multinational organization.
- Proven experience participating in at least one end-to-end SAP implementation, migration, rollout, or transformation program.
- Experience supporting multinational Finance operations and shared-service environments.
- Strong experience working across business and IT teams in a global ERP environment.
