Job Description
Non-negotiable:
• Strong SQL Server and T-SQL. Not simply querying a warehouse someone else built.
• Power BI development with DAX and tabular data modeling.
• Snowflake used in production, not a certification or a course.
• Seven-plus years total experience.
• Can hold a conversation with a business leader without a BA translating for them.
Strong positive signals:
• Insurance, benefits, brokerage, or financial services data experience.
• Has built something from nothing rather than inheriting a mature platform.
• SSIS or comparable pipeline and orchestration work.
• Can quantify business impact, in dollars, hours, or error reduction.
• Migration experience, particularly monolith to cloud data platform.
