Job Description
We are seeking a high-caliber, executive-level Principal / Lead SAP Functional Consultant with 12 to 15 years of deep enterprise experience to drive the delivery, structural optimization, and strategic governance of the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) track for a premier global account.
The ideal candidate must offer SAP MM/IM as their primary core discipline, expertly blended with a strong working knowledge of SAP PP (Production Planning) as a secondary skillset.
Key Responsibilities
1. Enterprise Stakeholder Advisory & Design Ownership
- Strategic Gap Resolution: Actively audit the current complex ECC environment, identify underlying operational design bottlenecks, and architect long-term solutions for functional challenges.
- Blueprint & Specification Governance: Author and govern complex, high-level Functional Specifications (FS) and comprehensive architecture blueprints for technical development teams.
- Executive Workshop Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor to the client's supply chain executives, warehouse operations directors, and corporate controllers to drive consensus on system designs.
2. Cross-Module Enterprise Engineering (MM Primary / PP Secondary)
- Hands-on MM/IM Customization: Maintain complete technical agility. Configure end-to-end P2P tracks, intricate pricing schemas, customized global Stock Transport Orders (STOs), and advanced inventory tracking systems.
- Production Integration (PP Secondary): Seamlessly bridge inventory and shop-floor manufacturing by governing technical dependencies with SAP PP, including complex Bill of Materials (BOMs), Material Requirements Planning (MRP) strategies, and material consumption matrices.
3. Deep Financial & Accounts Payable Integration
- Automated Postings Mastery: Take absolute functional ownership of the SAP FI-MM account determination matrix (OBYC customization) to guarantee that massive material movements accurately update General Ledger (GL) accounts.
- Accounts Payable Stabilization: Optimize global Logistics Invoice Verification (LIV) configuration logic, design automated exception-handling frameworks, and streamline high-volume three-way matching workflows alongside corporate accounting teams.
4. S/4HANA Transition Strategy & Readiness
- Migration Roadmap Preparation: Deconstruct legacy ECC customizations and redesign current functionalities to ensure a clean, zero-blocker path to the future S/4HANA digital core.
- Business Partner (BP) Strategy: Oversee data remediation and transformation plans to seamlessly transition traditional vendor master models over to the S/4HANA Business Partner configuration framework.
Required Profile & Executive Competencies
- Experience: 12 to 15+ years of functional SAP configuration experience, with a heavy emphasis on serving as a Lead Consultant, Solution Architect, or Principal SME on multi-million dollar tracks.
- Lifecycle Delivery: Proven track record of leading or architecting at least 3 to 4 full-lifecycle SAP implementation or migration projects from blueprinting through to post-go-live stabilization.
- The Modular Balance: Absolute mastery of SAP MM/IM paired with a clear, functional capability to manage configuration touchpoints in SAP PP.
- Financial Integration Focus: Exceptional technical knowledge of automated inventory valuation engines (OBYC transaction keys such as BSX, WRX, PRD, GBB) and integration with corporate finance sub-ledgers.
- S/4HANA Execution Knowledge: Practical project experience or deep conceptual knowledge of S/4HANA migration pathways to prepare a legacy environment for a smooth platform transition.
- Communication Polish: Superior English communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence director-level business stakeholders.
