Job Description
Designs, implements, supports, and optimizes campus, data center, wireless, and WAN networks supporting hospital, clinic, research, and business operations. Ensures reliable, secure, and monitored connectivity for clinical systems and end users. Level I scope: Entry / associate resource; supervised execution.
Core responsibilities:
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain routers, switches, wireless controllers/APs, load balancers, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, and network monitoring tools.
  • Analyze capacity, latency, availability, utilization, segmentation, and resiliency requirements.
  • Support incidents, changes, network upgrades, lifecycle replacements, and major event readiness.
  • Document network designs, standards, diagrams, configurations, and operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with security, infrastructure, telecom, cloud, application, and vendor teams to resolve cross-domain issues.
Level expectations:
  • Performs routine activities using defined runbooks and SOPs, resolves low-complexity requests, documents outcomes, and escalates issues with complete troubleshooting detail.
Skills/Experience:
  • LAN/WAN/WLAN, routing/switching, TCP/IP, firewalls basics, monitoring, troubleshooting, documentation, change management, and healthcare availability requirements.
  • Cisco for router/switch, Juniper Mist for wireless.
