Job Description
AI Product Engineer Cisco Domain SME (CCIE/CCNP Certified)
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
• CCIE (Enterprise Infrastructure / Wireless / Security) strongly preferred; CCNP-level candidates with exceptional domain depth considered
• Deep, hands-on expertise in Cisco Network (Wired / Wireless) OR Cisco Security Products (Firewall, ISE and related security portfolio)
• Proven experience working with Cisco TAC on Tier 2 / Tier 3 customer escalations
• Ability to critically review, rate and provide structured, actionable feedback on technical products
• Hands-on scripting experience (Python, Bash, TCL or similar) for validation, testing and automation
• Familiarity with AI assistants (Claude, Codex) — trainable for strong SMEs as part of onboarding
Roles & Responsibilities
We are looking for Cisco-certified subject matter experts (SMEs) who will operate at the intersection of deep networking / security expertise and applied AI. In this role, you will evaluate AI-generated technical outputs, rate product quality, provide expert feedback, and directly contribute your domain knowledge to strengthen and remediate the underlying AI models. This is a unique opportunity for seasoned Cisco engineers to shape next-generation AI products — we will train qualified SMEs on the AI tooling and depute them into the product engineering pipeline
• Domain Expertise (SME): Serve as an SME across Cisco Network (Wired / Wireless) and/or Cisco Security Products (Firewall, ISE and related security portfolio), providing authoritative technical judgment.
• AI Product Review & Rating: Review and rate AI-developed products and outputs for technical accuracy, completeness and real-world applicability; provide structured, actionable feedback.
• Model Enrichment & Remediation: Contribute domain knowledge to improve the AI model — identify gaps, correct erroneous outputs and drive remediation to continuously raise product quality.
• TAC-Grade Problem Solving: Apply hands-on troubleshooting experience equivalent to Tier 2 / Tier 3 TAC support, ensuring AI outputs meet escalation-level customer standards.
• Scripting & Automation: Use scripting to validate, test and automate evaluation workflows and reproduce technical scenarios.
• AI-Assisted Engineering: Work with modern AI development assistants such as Claude and Codex to review, generate and refine technical content (training provided).
