Job Description
Summary : We are seeking a skilled and proactive Backup Architect with hands-on experience in Veritas NetBackup to manage and support enterprise backup and recovery operations. The ideal candidate will ensure data protection across physical, virtual, and cloud environments, while maintaining compliance and optimizing backup performance.
Job Responsibilities :
Administer and maintain enterprise backup solutions using Commvault and NetBackup.
Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot backup jobs, schedules, and policies.
Perform regular backup validation, restore testing, and disaster recovery drills.
Collaborate with application, database, and infrastructure teams to ensure backup coverage and SLAs.
Manage backup storage capacity, retention policies, and tape library operations.
Implement and maintain backup reporting and alerting mechanisms.
Ensure compliance with data protection policies and regulatory requirements.
Provide L3 + support for backup-related incidents and service requests.
Document backup architecture, procedures, and recovery plans.
