Required Skills: Salesforce DevOps, MuleSoft, Snowflake, AWS
Job Description
Job Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced, hands-on Salesforce DevOps expert to own and mature the DevOps strategy for a complex, enterprise-scale healthcare platform supporting federal customers. The environment spans Salesforce Health Cloud, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, MuleSoft, Snowflake, GitLab, Flosum, AWS, and numerous custom integrations, operating across Salesforce GovCloud Plus and GovCloud Plus - Defense (IL4/IL5) environments.
Key Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end Salesforce DevOps, release management, and deployment strategy across multiple development, test, staging, and production environments.
Serve as the technical authority for GitLab, source control, branching, CI/CD pipelines, release orchestration, and environment management.
Design and maintain scalable deployment processes for Salesforce metadata, configuration, Apex, LWC, Experience Cloud, Health Cloud, permission sets, and related platform components.
Establish and enforce Git branching, merge, pull-request, code-review, versioning, and release-management standards across multiple development teams.
Manage complex releases involving coordinated changes across Salesforce, MuleSoft, Snowflake, AWS, and external/custom systems.
Build and improve automated CI/CD pipelines, validation, regression testing, code-quality checks, deployment controls, and rollback procedures.
Troubleshoot failed deployments, metadata conflicts, environment drift, integration dependencies, and production release issues.
Develop repeatable processes for hotfixes, emergency releases, quarterly major releases, and routine sustainment deployments.
Ensure DevOps processes meet federal security, auditability, configuration-management, and change-control requirements, including IL4/IL5 environments.
Partner closely with Salesforce architects, developers, MuleSoft engineers, data engineers, cybersecurity, infrastructure, QA, and product teams.
Define DevOps metrics around deployment frequency, release success rate, defects, rollback rate, pipeline performance, and environment health.
Mentor development teams on Salesforce DevOps best practices and continuously improve engineering standards and automation.
Required / Strongly Preferred Experience
Deep hands-on experience with Salesforce DevOps and enterprise release management in large, multi-team Salesforce implementations.
Expert-level knowledge of Git/GitLab, CI/CD concepts, Salesforce metadata deployments, branching strategies, and release automation.
Flosum experience is strongly preferred. At a minimum, candidates must have strong hands-on experience with enterprise Salesforce release orchestration / DevOps tools such as Copado, Gearset, or comparable platforms.
Significant Salesforce platform experience, preferably including Health Cloud, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, Apex, LWC, and Salesforce security architecture.
Experience managing releases with MuleSoft and complex API/integration dependencies.
Experience supporting platforms integrated with Snowflake, AWS, and external/custom enterprise systems.
Strong understanding of Salesforce sandboxes, environment strategy, metadata dependencies, data migration considerations, and production support.
Experience operating within Salesforce GovCloud Plus / GovCloud Plus Defense or other federal IL4/IL5 environments is highly desirable.
Familiarity with federal change management, cybersecurity, audit, configuration management, and separation-of-duty requirements.
Ability to personally diagnose and resolve difficult deployment and pipeline issues, not simply coordinate other engineers.
