Job Description
- Our client in the Greater Philadelphia area is seeking a Senior Workday Developer to support a large-scale ERP transformation initiative, including the migration from PeopleSoft to Workday.
- This is a long-term contract-to-hire opportunity with a fully remote work arrangement.
- Occasional travel may be required for periodic all-hands meetings.
- The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer and self-starter who can quickly learn the existing environment, contribute day-to-day development efforts, and help drive a successful Workday implementation scheduled to begin in January.
- Candidates with approximately 7+ years of experience are preferred, as the team is seeking an individual contributor who can jump in hands-on from day one.
Position Description:
- Support the migration from PeopleSoft to Workday as part of a multi-year ERP transformation
- Develop, configure, and enhance Workday solutions across the enterprise
- Analyse existing PeopleSoft functionality and translate requirements into Workday solutions
- Build, test, and support Workday integrations and business processes
- Perform unit testing, troubleshooting, and defect resolution
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA resources, and ERP project teams
- Support data mapping, data conversion, and migration activities
- Document technical solutions, integrations, and business processes
- Quickly understand and support solutions developed by the existing team
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure a successful ERP implementation and adoption
Bonus Skills
- PeopleSoft development experiences a huge bonus
- Experience migrating from PeopleSoft to Workday
- Experience supporting Workday implementation projects
- ERP data strategy and reporting experience
- Techno-functional understanding of HR, Finance, or ERP business processes
- Experience working closely with Business Analysts and QA teams
- Workday certification(s)
- Experience with enterprise-scale Workday deployments
- Experience supporting contract-to-hire transformation environments
- Exposure to data governance, reporting, and ERP modernization initiatives
