Job Description
Senior Web Developer – SAP LeanIX
CHS is seeking a Senior Web Developer / Technology Portfolio Programmer Analyst to develop custom reporting, automation, and data-driven solutions within the SAP LeanIX platform.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with JavaScript and React, along with GraphQL and TypeScript. This role will work closely with Business Analysts, Enterprise Architects, and business stakeholders to transform architecture and portfolio data into custom reports, dashboards, automations, and actionable insights.
Strong React and JavaScript experience is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop custom reports and dashboards using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and GraphQL.
- Create custom solutions within SAP LeanIX to improve technology portfolio visibility and reporting.
- Develop calculated fields using JavaScript to derive meaningful insights from LeanIX data.
- Build and maintain LeanIX automations using JavaScript to reduce manual processes and improve governance.
- Create, test, and optimize GraphQL queries for retrieving and transforming LeanIX workspace data.
- Translate business and architecture requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Enterprise Architects, Product Owners, and stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving custom reports, calculations, automations, and integrations.
- Develop performant, secure, and maintainable front-end components.
- Support deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of custom LeanIX extensions.
- Document technical designs, code, processes, and support procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting capabilities, portfolio transparency, and user experience.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on JavaScript development experience – Mandatory
- Strong React development experience – Mandatory
- Experience with modern ES6+ JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with GraphQL, including querying, filtering, and transforming data.
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Experience developing custom reports, dashboards, or data-driven web applications.
- Experience building custom logic or solutions within SAP LeanIX or similar enterprise platforms.
- Strong understanding of APIs, JSON, and web application development.
- Strong debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with the SAP LeanIX Reporting Library and Custom Report Tools.
- Experience developing React/TypeScript-based LeanIX custom reports.
- Knowledge of SAP LeanIX workspace upload and reporting workflows.
- Understanding of Enterprise Architecture, application portfolios, technology standards, and lifecycle management.
- Experience with Git and modern software development practices.
- Knowledge of code reviews, testing, release management, and Agile methodologies.
- Experience working with backlogs, user stories, and iterative development.
- Experience optimizing GraphQL/data queries and front-end performance.
- Knowledge of LeanIX platform limitations and best practices for JavaScript-based calculations and automations.
