Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support Governance and Demand Management functions. The BA will serve as a bridge between business stakeholders, OIT teams, and external vendors by analyzing business needs, documenting requirements, evaluating technology demands, and supporting enterprise technology decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current-state business processes and identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and technology enablement.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and working sessions.
- Develop process maps, business requirements, functional requirements, use cases, and supporting documentation.
- Identify gaps, risks, assumptions, dependencies, constraints, and improvement opportunities.
- Support technology demand intake, analysis, evaluation, prioritization, and governance.
- Analyze business value, scope, cost, resources, dependencies, risks, and operational impacts of proposed demands.
- Collaborate with Project Management, IT Service Management, Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, and Portfolio Management teams.
- Translate complex business and technical information into clear documentation and presentations.
- Analyze demand and portfolio data to identify trends, risks, gaps, and procurement opportunities.
- Develop reports, metrics, dashboards, and analytical deliverables to support decision-making.
- Participate in solution evaluation, requirements validation, testing, and UAT activities.
- Support transition of approved demands into projects, services, or other delivery paths.
- Work across multiple concurrent projects and occasionally lead project sub-teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field, OR 4 years of equivalent experience.
- Experience in Business Analysis, Requirements Analysis, Process Analysis, or related functional evaluation.
- Strong experience gathering, analyzing, documenting, and communicating business processes and system requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk-analysis skills.
- Experience identifying operational gaps and developing cost-benefit improvement opportunities.
- Ability to translate business/user needs into actionable technical requirements.
- Excellent verbal, written, facilitation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and consensus-building skills.
- Experience working with technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and concurrent initiatives.
- Strong experience developing business documentation, process flows, executive presentations, and analytical deliverables.
