Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and driven Network Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, testing, and validating cutting-edge networking solutions. By leveraging your deep expertise in L2/L3 protocols and SONiC (Software for Open Networking in the Cloud), you will bridge the gap between complex customer requirements and robust, scalable network architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Collaborate directly with clients to understand, gather, and refine technical system requirements.
- Environment Architecture: Build, scale, and maintain high-fidelity testing environments for end-to-end system and solution validation.
- Automation & Benchmarking: Develop, enhance, and optimize Python-based automation frameworks, PyTest tools, and performance benchmarking scripts.
- Troubleshooting & Analysis: Conduct rigorous, hands-on troubleshooting and root-cause analysis to resolve complex production and customer issues.
- Technical Leadership: Contribute to advanced engineering projects and mentor team members to foster a culture of technical excellence.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 7+ years of relevant experience, Master’s with 4+ years, or PhD with 1+ year.
- Core Technical Stack: Mandatory, hands-on experience in L2/L3 protocol development and deployment/testing utilizing SONiC.
- Automation Expertise: 3+ years of professional experience in Python automation scripting utilizing PyTest or similar open-source QA frameworks.
- Networking Protocols: Deep understanding of control and data plane technologies, including BGP, ECMP, and VXLAN-based EVPN fabrics.
- Advanced Networking (Preferred): Familiarity with RDMA, HPC networks, RoCE, and InfiniBand protocols, alongside experience with commercial and open-source traffic generators.
