Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to support application and product teams across GCP and Azure environments. The role focuses on cloud platform engineering, Terraform/IaC, CI/CD, cloud networking, IAM, security, and SRE practices from initial design through production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with product and vendor teams as the Cloud Engineering counterpart.
• Design and implement cloud infrastructure on GCP following established standards.
• Develop Terraform infrastructure including IAM, networking, databases, projects, and pipelines.
• Support deployments, environment promotion, troubleshooting, and production operations.
• Review Terraform code, pull requests, and architecture documentation.
• Implement cloud security controls including VPC Service Controls, organization policies, and Identity-Aware Proxy.
• Build reusable Terraform modules and contribute to the cloud platform framework.
• Troubleshoot production issues involving connectivity, IAM, capacity, cost, and security.
• Work closely with application developers and product owners to gather requirements and document solutions.

Required Skills:

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Solutions Engineering.
• Strong Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience.
• Experience with GCP Projects, IAM, Shared VPC, Private Service Connect, Cloud DNS, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, and Pub/Sub.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including Entra ID, subscriptions, networking, and Azure Firewall.
• Strong Terraform experience, including module development and remote state management.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or Cloud Build CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Workload Identity Federation/keyless authentication.
• Strong understanding of DNS, TLS, OAuth2/OIDC, cloud networking, and least-privilege IAM.
• Experience troubleshooting production environments using logs, audit trails, and IAM policies.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills:

• Google Professional Cloud Architect or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
• VPC Service Controls and GCP Organization Policies.
• Apigee X experience.
• GKE/Kubernetes experience.
• Pub/Sub, Kafka, or event-driven architecture.
• Experience supporting vendor-delivered platforms.
• FinOps/cost management experience.
• Product, Agile, or DevSecOps environment experience.
• Supply chain, distribution, or logistics industry experience.
