Job Description
We are seeking a Java Technical Lead responsible for senior-level system analysis, design, development, integration, and implementation of applications and databases. The role will focus on backend architecture, system optimization, API and service integration, cloud technologies, and enterprise application development.
Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases.
- Integrate third-party products, data sources, APIs, and services to streamline data flow and improve overall system efficiency.
- Translate technical specifications into code for complex new development and enhancement projects.
- Develop, test, debug, and maintain application code and produce required reports and artifacts.
- Apply software development techniques to ensure automated and effective testing.
- Lead backend system optimization efforts to ensure high performance, scalability, and responsiveness under varying workloads.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of detailed backend documentation covering architecture and application logic.
- Advocate and implement best practices for security, data protection, backend resilience, and enterprise-grade standards.
- Collaborate with front-end teams to design backend interfaces that support seamless and intuitive user experiences.
- Promote and implement API and microservices-based solutions.
- Elevate code into development, test, and production environments according to schedule.
- Provide follow-up production support and submit and document change-control requests.
- Apply software development methodologies and development architecture standards.
- Train and mentor less-experienced staff and resolve escalated technical issues.
- Participate in design, code, and test inspections throughout the software development lifecycle to identify and resolve issues.
- Explain technical considerations in project and client meetings and perform systems analysis activities.
- Develop a strong understanding of business functions, technology needs, and relevant Vanguard technologies, tools, applications, and system interfaces.
- Interface with cross-functional team members and communicate system issues at the appropriate technical level for each audience.
- Comply with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures and ensure deliverables meet established requirements.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 12+ years of experience in software development, system integration, database design, and backend architecture.
- Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science or a related field, or a Master's degree/Diploma in Computer Science.
- Strong expertise in server-side development, system integration, API management, database design, optimization, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, Angular/React, AWS, CloudFormation, ECS, DynamoDB, S3, Redshift, Kinesis Stream, Glue Jobs, Lambda, SQL, GitHub, CI/CD, and API Microservices.
- Experience with legacy application migration to cloud environments is preferred.
- Experience with test automation is preferred.
- Python experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies, Confluence, and JIRA.
- Aptitude for continuous process improvement involving process flows and workflows.
- AWS Solutions Architect certification is preferred.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
