Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Android Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality native Android applications.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack, Android architecture, REST APIs, and modern mobile development practices. The candidate will work closely with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and other developers to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing mobile applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin.
- Build scalable and high-performance mobile applications following Android best practices.
- Develop clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
- Implement responsive and user-friendly mobile interfaces.
- Work with Android SDK, Jetpack, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android development frameworks.
- Integrate applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Implement application architecture using patterns such as MVVM, MVP, or Clean Architecture.
- Work with local data storage solutions such as Room, SQLite, and DataStore.
- Perform debugging, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and production support.
- Write unit tests and UI tests to ensure application quality.
- Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, QA engineers, and backend developers.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Stay current with the latest Android technologies and mobile development trends.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of professional Android development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK
- Experience with Jetpack components and Jetpack Compose
- Strong understanding of Android application architecture
- Experience with MVVM / Clean Architecture
- Experience developing and consuming REST APIs
- Knowledge of JSON, Retrofit, and OkHttp
- Experience with Android Studio and Gradle
- Experience with Git and CI/CD
- Knowledge of Unit Testing and UI Testing
- Experience with Coroutines and Kotlin Flow
- Strong understanding of Android UI/UX and performance optimization
- Good knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Firebase
- Experience with Google Play Store deployment
- Knowledge of Android security and secure coding practices
- Experience with mobile CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
- Experience working with RESTful microservices
- Familiarity with Docker or cloud-based backend environments
- Experience with Espresso or other Android UI testing frameworks
