Job Description
Cadence is seeking an Azure Cloud Platform Developer to develop, deploy, automate, and validate cloud services and repeatable engineering environments. The engineer will build infrastructure automation, create environment-validation scripts, and support reliable deployment across development, testing, and production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure and platform services.
- Automate environment creation using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or equivalent infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Develop reusable scripts to provision, configure, test, and validate cloud environments.
- Create automated smoke, functional, configuration, and post-deployment validation tests.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
- Support Azure compute, networking, storage, identity, security, and monitoring services.
- Troubleshoot deployment, configuration, access, networking, and performance issues.
- Implement logging, monitoring, alerting, and operational dashboards.
- Apply security, access-control, secrets-management, and infrastructure-hardening standards.
- Develop runbooks, deployment documentation, reusable modules, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with cloud architecture, infrastructure, security, and application teams.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on Microsoft Azure experience.
- Experience with Azure virtual machines, virtual networks, storage, load balancing, Key Vault, and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Proficiency with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Strong scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience creating automated infrastructure and environment-validation tests.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or another CI/CD platform.
- Working knowledge of Linux administration and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Git, pull requests, peer reviews, and controlled deployment processes.
- Understanding of cloud networking, RBAC, managed identities, security groups, and private connectivity.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting engineering, EDA, HPC, or compute-intensive environments.
- Experience integrating Azure with on-premises or private-cloud infrastructure.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, or containerized workloads.
- Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog.
- Azure Administrator, Azure Developer, or Azure DevOps certification.
