Job location: Fort Mill, SC
Overview
As a Sr. ETL Developer, you will be playing an integral role in the ongoing design and build of the ISD Data Platform. You will be involved in and responsible for data analysis, design, development, integration, enhancements and maintenance of the data platform which will span a broad range of data and functionality. You will be responsible for helping to troubleshoot complex support issues on an as needed basis.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, delivery and maintenance of data solutions based on the latest data technologies
- Experience in Data Warehousing that includes analysis and development of Dataflows, mappings using needed transformations using BODS
- Develop Jobs, Workflows and Data flows based on the specifications using various stages in BODS
- Experience in BODS Designer Components- Projects, Jobs, Workflow, Data Flow, Scripts, Data Stores and Formats
- Knowledge on Data Quality Transformation
- Implementation of SCD type2 dimensions to maintain the History of dimensional data
- Must have knowledge on Data warehousing and Database concepts.
- Exposure in BODS performance tuning techniques using parallel processing (Degree of Parallelism), Multithreading, Partitioning, and Database Throughputs to improve job performance
- Experience in Data Services Management Console for Monitoring, Execution and Scheduling BODS jobs
- Hands on exp in debugging execution errors using Data Services logs (trace, statics and Error)
- Implementation of and working knowledge/experience in different types of transformations such as Query transformation, Merge, Case, Validations, Map- operation, History Preserving and Table Comparison transformations
- Strong knowledge in ETL Projects, assist in the triage of code breaks if required
- Document the unit and regression test results and fix issues
- Support system testing and integration testing activities
- Be accountable for consistency and development best practices across project teams
- Defining and maintaining a robust and scalable ETL architecture to manage data according to formal concepts, principles, and techniques
- Design and develop scalable, reusable ETL code using BODS and in line with architectural standards and best practices
- Work together with developers, business analysts and product owners to ensure that new or modified data applications are designed and developed using industry standard best practice design and development practices
- Drive modern data design patterns, project methodologies and ability to design and document complex data architectures from concept through deployment
- Work closely with technical team members to ensure technical knowledge is maintained and that project work can be accurately scoped
- Provide thought leadership on data processes and how implementation of these can improve the ongoing effectiveness and accuracy of data
- Identify key functional risks and issues ensuring mitigation plans are identified and project leadership is aware of implications
- Provide proactive leadership around continuous process improvement and process adherence
- Design and develop optimal code to maintain exceptional performance in processing large volumes of data across diverse sources
- Design and Build solutions using native HANA ecosystem and components
Description
You are:
- 5+ Years Data Integration development experience with hands on experience in SAP BODS, HANA
- Strong BODS Tech design and development expertise
- Experience with multiple end to end large Data Conversion Projects using BODS to convert data from Non-SAP to SAP or vice versa
- Strong knowledge of Data Integration design and working knowledge of SAP Data Services, Information Steward, and Data Migration Best Practices
- Database Extract, Transform, and Load experience with Data Profile and Cleansing
- Data profiling using SAP Information Steward
- Data reconciliation between prior and after loading to target system
- Experience in using of Data stores, Projects, Jobs, Workflow, Dataflow, Transformations
- Development of multiple projects using SAP BODS which were complex in requirements
- Strong knowledge in ETL Projects, assist in the triage of code breaks if required
- Strong Knowledge in Financial Sector preferred
- Cloud platform infrastructure and technology experience, preferably AWS or Azure
- Experience with SAP HANA Database architecture, development and technologies such as: AMDP’s, ADBC, ABAP, HANA CDS, Calculation Views, Tables, synonyms, sequence, triggers, table functions and procedures using SQL/PL SQL scripts
- Data provisioning in SAP HANA using various SAP HANA Techniques and External Tools
- Expert knowledge of and/or hands on experience with SAP ETL Experience with BODS, SLT, SDI
- Working knowledge of SAP HANA CDS
- Expert understanding of ETL design patterns, standard methodologies, and ETL tools
- Experience with data migrations and coordination in a cross-project management team and business functions
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization SAP HANA and applications
- Expertise with Data integration tools (including ETL and data replication tools)
- Data Modelling concepts and tools
- Continuous Integration and source control
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or javascript

- Agile development processes (SCRUM and Kanban)
- Experience with Jira
