Job Description
Location: Houston, TX.
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
Your future duties and responsibilities
• Solution Architect who will primarily work with a Portfolio company (e.g. RESPC, Downstream Mobility) to understand (and document) their AS-IS (current) Landscape, suggest transition architectures for moving from AS-IS to company standard TO-BE, addressing technical challenge areas and driving joint solutions with Portfolio Company and company segment architects.
• The Project Solution Architect will be working closely with the Project Manager and an Infrastructure Lead from IDSO to understand the current PC IT Landscape to drive the necessary IT Compliance and IT Onboarding/migration activities Ideal candidate has extensive knowledge (and hands on project experience) of the full IT Infrastructure stack and Technologies (both infrastructure and applications including Cloud Migrations) as well as a base understanding of Software Engineering toolset & processes.
• This architect will drive solution architecture for rollout of Shell IT Infrastructure and relevant IT4IT tools at a Portfolio Company.
• Understanding of the client's IT Infrastructure services and processes will be an added advantage.
• The Solution Architect will also be required to guide a set of technical consultants dedicated to various workstreams in preparing low level design from the overall migration High Level Design and solution architecture and will be the primary interface for the CTO/Technical Director/Solution Architect at the Portfolio Company.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Experience and knowledge of the full IT Infrastructure stack - Required.
• TOGAF certified.
• Able to demonstrate and provide meaningful examples of o experience with the full end2end stack as shown on the right.
• Experience with infrastructure heavy migration projects.
• Experience of producing high quality target and transitional architecture documents.• Experience of producing high quality decision sheets (rational, value case) for identified choice points and exceptions
