Role: DB2 DBA: Database Administrator 3

Location: Atlanta, GA 30303 (Local Candidates Only) - 100% Onsite

Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Interview: Web Cam or In Person

About the Role:

As a DB2 LUW DBA, you'll play a crucial role in collaborating with our Application Development team. From designing and implementing database changes to optimizing SQL statements and supporting Quality Assurance, you'll be at the heart of our database administration efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Plan, document, and execute upgrades and migrations.

·         Support developers in designing, implementing, and testing database changes.

·         Optimize SQL statements and recommend indexes.

·         Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team in testing applications.

·         Maintain multiple DB2 LUW environments and provide support during patching.

Minimum Qualifications:

·         5 years as a Database Administrator.

·         Proficiency in SQL and DB2 LUW.

·         Experience with Red Hat's Enterprise Linux.

·         Relational Data Modeling experience.

·         Familiarity with Erwin and Java.

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Experience with IBM's WebSphere, COBOL, and Hibernate.

·         Familiarity with scripting languages (Perl or Python).

·         Exposure to SQL Server, MySQL, or Teradata.
