Job Description
The primary purpose of this job is to gather requirements, being a liaison with various cross-functional teams to determine and drive business performance through email marketing campaigns. This role is a hands-on business analyst role in Salesforce Marketing Cloud / Digital Marketing and analytics team. The ideal candidate for this role possess a strong strategic and analytical thinking skills, and ability to work independently on email marketing campaigns from requirements to deployment. This role will work closely with other business stakeholders to gather requirements, elicit user stories, work with SFMC email developers to ensure the emails are developed according to the requirements adhering Client’s Digital Marketing’s best practices to enhance the digital experience.
 
 
 
This role will also work closely with analytics to ensure email results are tracked and analyzed, and generate reports from the engagement data and sendlogs.
 
 
 
* This is a hybrid / on-site role to be performed in Tysons, VA *
 
 
 
Essential Functions
 
 
 
Gather business requirements, translate it to user stories and acceptance criteria to meet the end users’ needs with proven ability to facilitate meetings with business partners, developers, analytical engineers, and testers.
Lead email campaigns on the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform, including setup, testing, deployment, tracking and reporting
Provide expert support to key stakeholders in managing system and process changes
Produce functional, technical and system design documentation
Develop, implement, and maintain system processes, workflows and procedures
Facilitate testing of new Salesforce functionality rollouts - Develop complex reports and dashboards to support the delivery of business key metrics.
Partner with creative service and campaign teams to optimize template design, content, and ensure the right assets and branding guidelines are followed
Skilled in data analysis, pull email performance results and analyze findings pre and post migration of marketing email campaigns, reporting results and presenting analysis
Proficiency in SQL, working with large scale data and reporting
Strong knowledge of setting up proactive monitoring and alerts, deliverability tracking and reporting
Experience with Agile methodologies, tools (Jira, Confluence, Sharepoint, Litmus or similar tools)
Knowledge of AMPScript, SQL, and various workflow and data integrations is a plus
 
 
Education and Experience
 
Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
 
Bachelor’s Degree in English, Marketing, Business or related field is required.
Strong understanding knowledge of financial institution operations is required.
Minimum of five (5) years’ of business analysis experience in email development, audience management, marketing automation, segmentation, testing and deployment of email communications is required.
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in working with cross functional teams (Digital marketing, Creative Services, Go To Market, Product, Business Analytics)
Extensive understanding of email communication process and workflow.
Strong proficiency with audience data management, SQL and other database sources.
Extensive experience in data modelling, process mapping and specification documentation -
Experience facilitating workshops and discussion sessions
Proficiency with creative testing and optimization strategies including A/B and multivariate testing across digital channels.
Strong aptitude for strong brand design, creative and copy to ensure all brand elements are consistent in look, feel and messaging. Ability to understand the deliverability and reputation tracking metrics, review and recommend the best practices for Email Campaigns.
Proficiency in HTML and CSS, AmpScript.
Proficiency in Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a must. Additional bonus if the candidate has worked with any other email marketing and marketing automation platforms such as MailChimp, HubSpot, Marketo, Eloqua, or Adobe Campaign.
Extensive experience and strong familiarity with online website management platforms such as WordPress, Expression Engine, Drupal, Ektron, or Adobe Experience Manager.
Experience web analytics tools such as WebTrends, Google Analytics, or Adobe Analytics
Strong familiarity with other Salesforce Clouds (Data Cloud, Sales Cloud, Financial Service Cloud, etc.,) and an experience with various integrations with in the Salesforce landscape.
 
 
Preferred Skills:
 
Extensive B2C marketing experience, experience—knowledge and familiarity with consumer finance products is highly preferred.
Extensive knowledge of online marketing, web best practices, mobile design methodologies and development technologies and tools preferred.
Ability to suggest innovative ideas and solutions within email, CRM and the marketing automation space to enhance overall experience.
Knowledge in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administration, various configuration and settings, profiles and roles setup for digital marketers and other users
Excellent communications, conflict management, and negotiation skills.

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator (Preferred)
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer / Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant (preferred)
Other Salesforce certifications is a plus
