Job Title: Technical Adviser

Role Description:The Tech Advisor will assume a pivotal role in leading a significant project and involving the migration of data centers. This project focuses on migrating all applications to a new data center and cloud infrastructure. Leveraging your expertise in data center technologies and project management, you will lead the requirement gathering, Assessment, development of innovative solutions that meet client requirements and ensure a smooth transition to new infrastructure. The Tech Advisor will be responsible for spearheading the project, orchestrating the seamless movement of assets, and devising a comprehensive strategy to ensure timely completion. Additionally, they will take charge of leading a team of architects for the target system, providing guidance and direction throughout the migration process. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance on data center migration methodologies, tools, and best practices to clients and internal teams.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing infrastructure environments, identifying migration risks, dependencies, and opportunities for optimization.
- Lead the migration project for data centers, specifically focusing on applications. Define data migration strategies, tools, and methodologies, and oversee the execution of data migration activities.
- Coordinate the movement of assets and resources to the new data center and cloud infrastructure.
- Define and prioritize migration deliverables, including assessment reports, migration strategies, target state architectures, and backlog prioritization.
- Conduct comprehensive cost-benefit analyses to evaluate migration options, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize resource utilization.
- Design and implement a robust strategy to ensure the successful completion of the migration within the designated timeline.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and address any challenges or concerns that may arise during the migration process.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of the migration project, identifying and mitigating risks as necessary to ensure smooth execution.
Must-Have Skills:
- Extensive experience in data center migration, systems engineering, and architecture (15+ years of experience overall).
- Proficiency with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools and solid data engineering experience in GCP (Google Cloud Platform)/Big Query.
- Understanding of migration of On-Prem applications to Azure and cloud architecture.
- Strong experience with Oracle database management and administration.
- Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale migration projects in complex enterprise environments.
- Healthcare experience(Payer/Provider)
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience as a product owner, overseeing the development and delivery of software products or solutions.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management frameworks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Relevant certifications in data center management, cloud computing, or related areas.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative and effective solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
