Job Description:
NARA has a multi-cloud contract through a reseller to AWS, Azure and Google Cloud. The vendor shall provide infrastructure and operations support for these NARA cloud and on premise environments.
The Vendor shall partner with NARA’s Government Operations, Security, Systems Engineering and the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCOE) to manage the NARA’s cloud infrastructure.
The Vendor will support the NARA’s cloud infrastructure in a tiered fashion in accordance to the level of cloud support as required by the program teams.
The Vendor shall operate and maintain network connectivity (such as Direct Connect and VPN), Cloud Account access management, Remote Desktop solutions such as Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and Workspaces to programs that are hosted in the cloud.
The Vendor shall manage and configure cloud accounts with network, virtual images, access management, VPN etc., so that NARA can install software such as Tableau, ADAMS, and ePACS for production and test workloads.
The Vendor will work with NARA’s Operations, Security, Systems engineering and CCOE to provide access management support to all cloud infrastructures using NARA’s Enterprise Single Sign On solution. For example, for AWS, the Vendor shall use AWS IAM Identity center and Azure AD.
The Vendor shall manage the NARA General Shared Services (GSS) cloud infrastructure entirely and work with government personnel to continuously migrate on-prem infrastructure to the Cloud.
The Vendor shall collaborate with NARA Government staff on the cloud architecture, provide implementation plans, and complete the development of the NARA GSS cloud infrastructure.
Cloud “Specialist/Engineer” needs to be added to Key Personnel. The Vendor shall support cloud infrastructure and operations for AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Engineering. The Cloud Engineer monitors and analyzes cloud infrastructure performance, troubleshoots, and resolves performance-related issues, and ensures robust security measures and compliance within the cloud environment. Effective communication and collaboration skills are vital. The minimum qualifications are 5 years’ experience providing related services.
